Netflix’s comedy series Grace and Frankie has just finished filming the seventh and last season. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda are seen taking pictures with the cast and crew of the series in a series of Instagram posts. It’s Netflix’s longest-running series. The series gave fans a taste of the seventh season by releasing the first four episodes last August. The show follows Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) as they navigate their lives after both their husbands leave them for each other. Grace and Frankie go through many ups and downs and even manage a business together. Fans look forward to what other shenanigans the pair will get into this season.

It’s no surprise the series was a hit with powerhouse performers like Tomlin and Fonda. Both actors have received many accolades for their long careers. Tomlin is an Emmy, Tony, and Grammy Award winner. Fonda, on top of being an outspoken political activist, has two Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Primetime Emmy Awards under her belt. Lily Tomlin has a long filmography that shows her versatile comedic work. Jane Fonda is a poised actor that can do dramas just as well as comedies. This is not the first time the two have shared the screen together; they both starred 9 to 5 back in 1980. It’s no wonder that their off-screen friendship adds to the chemistry of their characters in Grace and Frankie. Not since Golden Girls has a series with older women as the main characters been so enthralling.
Unfortunately, the hugely popular show Grace and Frankie will end when the rest of the Season 7’s episodes are added to Netflix in 2022. Fortunately, Tomlin and Fonda are still active with their careers, so the Netflix comedy series won’t be their last performance.
