Kingdom Come: Deliverance will finally release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next week (on February 13). It is powered by Crytek’s CryEngine 3. Our friend Gadgets360 is among one of those select few media outlets who has received the review copy of the game early, and they have just confirmed that there will be a Day One patch for Kingdom Come Deliverance and size of it is going to be around 23 GB on PlayStation 4.

The size of the update is huge considering the fact that the base game size is just 23 GB, which means the Day One Patch size is equal to the Kingdom Come Deliverance base game size. If you are among one of those who are planning to play the game starting from the launch day itself (i.e. starting from February 13) then make sure you have enough HDD space available for installation.

A big Day One patch has become a trend of some sort nowadays. We see this happening with almost all AAA games. What exactly is the reason behind it? Why can’t developer bring in the changes and improvements of Day One patch right into the base game itself?
