Terraria’s next update will, unfortunately, be the last, but with that update is a high amount of anticipation. The update promises to be one of the most significant updates to date, and thus players are excited for the plethora of new content. There’s still one more surprise Re-Logic has up their sleeves, though. Re-Logic took to Steam to announce a mode coming with the release of Journey’s End. This mode is known as Journey Mode and is planned to help players of all experience and skill. To go with the Steam post, Re-Logic created a Terraria gameplay reveal with YouTuber ChippyGaming to show off Journey Mode.

Journey Mode has one goal in mind, and that’s to “provide a more accessible experience by providing the player unprecedented control over the gameplay.” The mode will be assisting players quite a bit, but it’s not Creative Mode 2 by any means. You start your adventure with some early gear, including some iron gear, starter wings, a finch staff, and various supplies. Nothing too far into the game, but some equipment to get you off the ground. It’s up to you whether you want to use this or not, but it’s there if you want that quick first step in Terraria.

A much more significant change to the game is the introduction of Terraria Research and Duplication. This will allow you to research any item in the game, then duplicate it as you please. Any duplication will give you a full stack of that item, provided you’ve researched it. To go with this newfound power, you also have the power of gods. You can change the weather and time at your leisure, which should save you a lot of real-life time in the long run. You’ll also be able to change enemy spawn rates, and difficulty at any point. No longer are you locked to one difficulty.

There are some other features of the mode coming as well. If you’d like to see a full in-depth look at everything coming, you can see the news post for yourself on Steam.
