A Tencent employee has been suspended after being accused of sexual harassment. Arena of Valor global community manager Nick Zasowski has been suspended pending further investigation, according to Variety.
“We take accusations of this type of unprofessional behavior extremely seriously, and are currently investigating the matter,” a Tencent spokesperson said in a statement. “The individual has immediate been suspending pending the outcome of this investigation.”
Zasowski reportedly sent multiple inappropriate messages to women on social media, including unsolicited photos of his genitals. HP Omen partnership lead John Sylvester tweeted about Zasowski’s ongoing harassment of women on Sept. 3. Sylvester posted a number of screenshots detailing Zasowski’s harassment of women.
“Someone I thought I knew for the past six years has been sending unsolicited sexual photos to women,” Sylvester wrote. “When one of them posted about it, a number of other women, friends of mine, said he’d done the same to them. I’m so fucking disappointed and angry. Fuck you, @nickzazzer.”
Other women responded to Sylvester’s tweet to add their stories of harassment from Zasowski, including Doghead Simulations chief marketing officer Amber Osborne. Zasoswski private messaged Osborne to ask if she’d “sell pictures or videos” of herself. “Sexy, slightly naughty stuff,” he wrote. “All in private with trust crucial, of course.”
Zasowski has since deleted a number of social media profiles, but his Twitter account was re-claimed by someone who posted an archive of his harassment against women in the industry.
