Today, Temtem makes its console debut on PlayStation 5 as an Early Access release. During the Early Access period, you can purchase Temtem PS5 Standard Edition for $39.99. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition that includes a camo pack and additional cosmetics is priced at $59.99. Still, launching as an Early Access title doesn’t mean Temtem PS5 is releasing with barebone contents. When you start your journey, the game will already cover:

  • 100 unique Temtem you can catch and befriend
  • Four islands with 30 hours of story content
  • Cross-play with PC and online co-op
  • Player customization and housing
  • Ranked matchmaking
  • Weekly challenges

Spanish-based developer Crema said that they plan on increasing the price incrementally with each major content update throughout Early Access. This incoming content includes two more islands, at least 61 new Temtems, an Auction/Trading House, a clan PvP system, a hardcore game mode called Nuzlocke, in-game tournaments, PlayStation Trophies, and more. With that in mind, the developer has stated that when Temtem PS5 version 1.0 launches down the line, the Standard Edition will cost $44.99, and the Deluxe Edition costing $64.99.

At Temtem’s Early Access launch on the PS5, the game runs at 4K 60 FPS. Crema is currently looking at supporting a “Performance mode” that hopefully can run the game at 120 FPS but with a lower resolution. Although it already features cross-play, for now, it still doesn’t have cross-progression/cross-save. Despite that, the team promises to “try and implement it later down the road”. Thankfully, all progress you made during the Early Access will be kept for the 1.0 launch and it does support mouse and keyboard input even on the PS5.
