Twitch streamer AvoidingThePuddle tweeted a picture of what seems to be a promotion of Tekken 8 showing up at The Game Awards next week. The photo of the package includes a t-shirt with the logo of Tekken 8 on it, along with a message asking people to tune in at The Game Awards for more Tekken 8 news, likely more gameplay.

The small message reads “tune into The Game Awards Livestream” and has a link to The Game Awards Twitch Channel, on the date December 8. Tekken 8 was officially confirmed by the announcement in September during the PlayStation State of Play Livestream.

The amazing-looking video showed real-time gameplay footage of Jin and Kazuya calmly handling their ever-present parental problems. The footage shows the next-gen graphics that fans can expect from Tekken 8 with the dynamic rain and lighting effects on display during the fight.

At that time Harada said, “We are very excited to show the next generation of Tekken.” Saying that the team at Bandai Namco has been working hard to bring the most cutting-edge stuff to Tekken 8, making fights as enjoyable as possible on the latest hardware.

Tekken 8 Gameplay Premiere On The Game Awards

The Game Awards will feature a plethora of Geoff Keighley’s favorite World Premieres, musical performances, and special guests. The event will be streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 8.

The nominations for the Game Awards have already been revealed in all the different categories. With the biggest hitters being Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarok. Fans are certain that either of the aforementioned games will win the game of the year award. Of course, both Sony Santa Monica and FromSoftware are no strangers to getting the GOTY award, as Sekiro and 2018’s God of War won GOTYs in their respective years.

With Tekken 8 on the horizon, Street Fighter 6 getting character reveals, Guilty Gear Strive getting continued support, and rumors going around about the next NeatherRealm fighting game looming in the distance, it is truly a great time to be a fighting game fan.
