Rejoice, fellow TMNT fans! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge just received a retro-inspired trailer. But that’s far from the only exciting thing about it. The game will be a classic beat ’em up a la 1991’s Turtles In Time, a multiplayer highlight during the era of arcades. Tribute Games, the makers of 2020’s Panzer Paladin, are developing the game. The team also helped on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. Dotemu, the publisher and co-developer of 2020’s Streets of Rage 4, is publishing the Turtles’ latest adventure.

It isn’t just the nostalgia of the older games that this new one is relying on. The mostly-cinematic teaser trailer pays homage to the original animated series. And it features a new version of the show’s iconic theme song, performed by Faith No More’s Mike Patton. But there’s just enough gameplay shown to pique the interest of any old-school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles player. You can check out the trailer below:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will release on PC and consoles. But as of right now, those consoles have not been specified. The trailer also shows no sign of a release date. However, players can go ahead and add it to their wishlist on Steam. In a press release alongside the trailer, Tribute Games co-founder Jean-Francois Major had this to say:

According to GameInformer’s coverage on the release, the developers are blending the classic style with modern-day advancements. Although, the team wouldn’t go into detail about what those advancements are. We can likely expect different modes outside of the story. But the animated segments of the trailer that focus on April O’Neil and Splinter imply more than four playable characters.
