Teen Wolf was a hit MTV show that premiered in 2011 and ran for six seasons on the network. The “horror” teen show revolved around Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O Brien). At the same time, they navigate the crazy, odd and immortal things happening in their town while also still trying to be “normal” teenagers. This was Dylan O’Brien’s first-ever experience as an actor and one that skyrocketed him to fame as he gained movie roles in the Maze Runner series and other films. It’s been four and a half years since MTV’s Teen Wolf ended, and fans had to say goodbye to Scott and friends. That is until word of a Teen Wolf TV Show reunion movie came about. Many of the main cast returned for the Teen Wolf Paramount Plus film, but one fan-favorite character, in particular, is missing. Many have asked, is Dylan O’Brien in the Teen Wolf movie? Sadly, the answer is no.
Dylan O’Brien spoke to Variety in an interview about why he is sadly not returning for the upcoming Paramount Plus Teen Wolf move. Dylan revealed this was a tough decision for him. O’Brien went on to say,
Fans can feel relief at least to know that Dylan O’Brien’s absence isn’t out of hatred for the show at all. In fact, he cares a great deal about his cast members and the show that got him to where he is today. Dylan went on to say,
There you have it. Stiles was the “human” of the Teen Wolf series. His character provided the comic relief, that is, until he got a little darker, deeper storyline when the third season came around. Fans loved his character and will never forget his iconic role. But sadly, no, Dylan O’Brien is not in the Teen Wolf movie. You can watch Dylan O’Brien as Richie in his newest film, The Outfit, which comes out next week on March 18th, 2022.
