DC is ready to end the war amongst fans after years them of battling on forums as the heroes duke it out in the first trailer for Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans.

Fans of the 00’s anime/comic-influenced Teen Titans have despised the comedic Teen Titans Go! follow up series since it’s inception. Go! even has a meta episode dedicated to its haters featuring the original Titans.

This connection peaked with a possible teaser for the original team’s return in the post-credits Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. Later on, the video release featured a teaser trailer showing that tease may have been for this project instead.

The trailer features both teams battling each other in a multi-universal contest. This somehow leads into both Titans joining forces to fight Trigon along with other versions of themselves.

This beef might run deeper than the 90’s west coast versus east coast beef with Tupac and Biggie. Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans is a bigger blood feud between grown-up weebs and cartoons that actual kids like to watch these days.

Go! garnered more hate from the older fans after taking over the timeslot for the critically acclaimed Young Justice cartoon. Young Justice is a show original Teen Titans gravitated towards for it’s more mature storytelling, so when that seemingly got canceled for Go! it was the last straw.

Titans Go Everywhere

The OG Titans series was on the airwaves from 2003 until 2006 ending with the TV movie Trouble In Tokyo. The team eventually returned in mini-shorts on Cartoon Network that led to Teen Titans Go! (’13-present). The latest and possibly most angsty live-action iteration, Titans (‘18-present), is streaming on DC Universe.

All of the shows can be found on the DC streaming service if you gotta play a little catch-up. The Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans movie is scheduled to come out on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital later this year.
