• After Space Jam: A New Legacy trailer was released last month, there was a huge buzz in the market about a crossover between some major Warner Bros. properties. Though it is Cartoon Network that’s gone ahead to announce a major Space Jam mashup, Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam, with one of their flagship shows, The Teen Titans.

New Crossover from CN

In a statement, made on Thursday, the network announced that there will be a new crossover special titled Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam. The special will air on June 20 and follow suit on digital platforms on July 27.

You can watch the trailer below:

Not to be confused with the recent WB release, titled Space Jam: A New Legacy, Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam is a Cartoon Network special, which will showcase the Teen Titans reviewing the original 1996 Space Jam.

Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam Brings New Lease of Life

The plot begins with Cyborg starting a screening of the Michael Jordan vehicle at Titans Tower. The event is crashed by the Nerdlucks, the film’s alien antagonists who stole the athletic talent of NBA players in an effort to win the servitude of the Looney Tunes in a game of basketball. The Titans challenge the Nerdlucks to absorb their superpowers, leading the aliens to gain their abilities and their personality traits.

The Nerdlucks are then seen as Teen Titans-doppelgangers as all hell breaks loose in the crossover special. For those wondering whether this new special will be a crossover with the old Teen Titans or the new Teen Titans we see on Teen Titans Go, then it is the latter in this case.

Teen Titans Go, a series that started in 2013, has 7 seasons and is currently airing on Cartoon Network. Even though it is a different take on the original cartoon, there are crossover episodes where the gang meets the original CN Teen Titans.

Where a feature film, titled Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, was released in 2018, LeBron James will be seen suiting up with the Looney Tunes in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The Warner Bros offering will be available on HBO on July 16.
