Teen Mom OG’s Maci Bookout Is In A Better Place With Ryan Edwards
Teen Mom OG‘s Maci Bookout is moving past her acrimony with Ryan Edwards since co-parenting their son Bentley. Maci detailed how she was able to “work through some of the anger” and identify some of the baggage she carries because of her past relationship.
The Teen Mom star also told Us Weekly about how the new iteration of Teen Mom: Family Reunion improved her ability to handle the rough times with Ryan. The reunion has the cast going on vacation together with their moms.
She explained how she worked with a life coach while on the series, which premieres January 3, 2023.
The “Bulletproof” author claimed these things worked out well for her but didn’t delve into details about her relationship with her ex.
Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards’ tumultuous relationship started after Maci’s pregnancy and Bentley’s birth in October 2009. Their issues mostly revolved around Ryan’s past drug addiction and strained relationship with Bentley.
The drama was exacerbated in March 2021 when producers fired Ryan from the show, along with his parents, Larry and Jen Edwards, and wife, Mackenzie Standifer.

She continued, claiming that Maci’s agent told Viacom that Ryan and his family were a distraction. The agent allegedly wanted to “focus on all of Maci’s abilities,” but Ryan’s family used up that time.

The incensed woman further alleged that Maci got them fired out of spite.
Mackenzie, 25, shares son Jagger, 4, and daughter Stella, 2, with the 34-year-old former reality TV star. She also shares son Hudson, 8, with her ex-husband Zachary Stephens.
However, reports revealed that the couple got fired from the series after Teen Mom OG aired some footage. The clip showed Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney, getting into a heated argument with Ryan’s dad over Ryan’s perceived lack of relationship with Bentley. Maci and Taylor, 33, share a daughter Jayde, 7, and a son Maverick, 6.
Meanwhile, over a year later, Ryan still doesn’t have a relationship with Bentley. “The father and son “don’t have a relationship at all,” Maci shared.
Ryan needs to step up and father his son. Hopefully, he does the needful soon and without compulsion too.
