Today, Techland released patch 1.4 for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, with some new features that fans have been asking for. In the first free Chapter DLC entitled “In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner,” our parkouring adventures continue in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The first chapter’s arrival will introduce new challenges, a ranking system, Photo Mode, and more. Players can log into their game saves now to start updating.

New Friends and New Threats in the First Chapter of Dying Light 2 Stay Human

In this DLC, we’ll run into a new individual who comes by the name of Harper. An aging Nightrunner, he’ll ask you for your assistance in helping him take down Special Infected. In exchange for your help, he’ll reward you with some never-before-seen equipment. You can find Harper at the Fish Eye Canteen when you spawn back into the City.

Harper’s entrance also brings forth a new rank system that will frequently increase in number the more help out the Nightrunner. Unlocking more ranks will provide access to better weapons, outfits, and equipment. But you won’t be using your usual currency here. Players will need to collect mutation samples off the Special Infected corpses and Harper’s Tokens to acquire more robust equipment. Additionally, we’ll need reputation points, which can accumulate by engaging in Daily and Weekly bounties in Dying Light 2.

But as fate would have it, more mutations are sprouting throughout the City. The City is now home to the Mutated Infected, the Volatile Tyrant, and the Volatile Hive. It would be wise to complete some challenges and bounties to upkeep your parkour and combat skills. But make sure you’re having some fun, too! Photo Mode is finally here for Dying Light 2, giving players the creative freedom to snap a few photos along the way.
