As time goes on without any gameplay or further information about Dying Light 2, fans are growing more irritated. Of course, we’re all aware that the game has endured development hell since it was announced. As a result, its developer, Techland, has admitted the game’s 2018 announcement may have been premature.
Development hell is the best way to describe the troubles that have plagued Dying Light 2. Most recently, long-time Techland employee and Dying Light writer Pawel Selinger revealed he was leaving the company. This represents yet another major setback in its ongoing development. Now, however, more detailed news appears to be on the horizon. The official Twitter account recently sent out a tweet with further information about the sequel game will arrive on Wednesday, March 17. “We’ve got a few words to share with you about the Dying Light 2 development process,” the tweet read.

In light of this news, fans swarmed to the replies to voice their opinions. One fan voiced their concern given all the recent hurdles. They questioned whether it would live up to standards should it ever release. In response, the official Dying Light account discarded the news of the game going through hell but admitted that the announcement might have been “too early.”
The sequel was announced during E3 2018, meaning it’s been three years now with little progress. Unfortunately, the game has been plagued with bad news. Let’s hope that the reveal on Wednesday sheds some light on the whole situation. Maybe we’ll get a new release date, or perhaps it’s just more development updates. Do not expect a trailer or anything. Whatever it is, fans everywhere are intrigued.
