For auto-chess fans out there, chances are you play one of two auto chess games. You’re either playing Valve’s Dota Underlords, or you’re playing Teamfight Tactics. Both games have a lot going for them in features and charm, coming down to personal preference. I’m a fan of TFT myself, which is convenient for today’s news. With League of Legends Patch 10.19, Teamfight Tactics’ fourth set, Fates, is now available for play. This introduces many new champions, synergies, items, and more!

As always, the biggest change in this new Teamfight Tactics set is the champions and their synergies. You can see above that many new champions are now part of TFT, while some of the older champs got a bit of a facelift. My favorite one by far is Sett’s The Boss trait, having him do pushups in the middle of an auto-battle. I imagine it’ll be even funnier in play. Items are getting changes as well, with many being buffed and nerfed accordingly. Two new items will be replacing old ones though, being Gargoyle Stoneplate and Sunfire Cape replacing Sword Breaker and Red Buff respectively. Gargoyle Stoneplate gives the unit Armor and MR based on how many units are targeting them. Sunfire Cape, on the other hand, causes an enemy within two hexes of the wearer to take 25% max health as true damage over ten seconds.

Other than the new characters and items, you’re probably wondering what replaces the Galaxies feature from the last TFT set. With that, welcome the Chosen feature. On occasion, there’ll be a Chosen champion in your shop. These start at 2-star but are given some extra bonuses as well. Every Chosen gets 200 extra max health but can get extra traits from there based on the champion. This could be 400 HP, 30% spell power, 30 AD, or 25% reduced mana cost. This should help shake up your shop a little bit, giving you extra things to think about.

There’s a lot more coming with this TFT update, including some adorable Little Legends. If you want the full rundown, you can check out the official patch notes for Set 4 here. Teamfight Tactics is available on PC, Android, and iOS. For now, I want to hear your thoughts on the new set. Will you be downloading and trying the update? What do you think of Teamfight Tactics?
