In fact, the game came to Steam Early Access just yesterday, giving players the chance to experience the robot-building, multiplayer fun for themselves after an impressive trailer hit the web. You can check that out right here:
To sum Main Assembly up, it’s a robot-building simulator where you can build your own personal robot and customize it with over 65 different parts. You can then put your unique work to the test by engaging in single-player challenges or through online multiplayer activities. However, if you just want to enjoy the sandbox-style open-world, then that’s your prerogative, too.
The game utilizes a unique but easy-to-use programming language that allows you to set the controls for your invention or automate them with a variety of sensors. In this sense, it’s not too dissimilar from Lego’s EV3 robot series – the main difference being that this takes place entirely on your computer. Regardless, there’s unlimited potential for creativity where robot-building and programming is concerned.
