Taylor Swift has had an incredible past several months with the release of her Midnights album. Now, Taylor Swift has scored her longest-running number 1 single with Anti-Hero. The song has currently been number 1 for a total of 8 weeks. Of course, Anti-Hero was the first single from Taylor Swift’s Midnights album. Midnights came out back in late October. As many will remember, upon releasing the album, Taylor Swift then became the first artist to ever occupy the entire top 10 on Billboard. Since then, Midnights has continued to be a blockbuster seller, although SZA’s new album currently reigns at the top of the chart.
Currently, Taylor Swift’s Midnights album is number 2 on the Billboard top 200 albums chart. It’s been out for 11 weeks and came close to regaining the number 1 spot from SZA. SZA’s latest album, SOS, is also a blockbuster seller. Out for 4 weeks now, the album shows no signs of slowing down and is the most significant source of competition to Taylor Swift’s current chart reign; in fact, both singers made significant efforts last week to claim to number 1 spot, with SZA narrowly beating Swift for the top spot. SZA has the number 2 song on the single’s chart with her song Kill Bill.
However, many insiders say that Miley Cyrus’ new single Flowers has a strong chance of debuting atop the chart next week. If this happens, this will be Miley’s second number 1 single and first to debut in the top spot on Billboard.
Taylor Swift Shouts Out SZA’s New Album
Despite SZA claiming the number one spot for her album over Taylor Swift’s Midnights, Swift has shown the singer some love. Taylor took in Instagram stories to say how much she adores SZA’s SOS album. She shared her positive thoughts along with Billboard’s article about Anti-Hero returning to number 1.
