Bandai Namco recently released the short Tales of Crestoria: The Wake of Sin animation via YouTube. The video serves as an introduction to the mobile game, which is currently available on iOS and Android.

The animated short is “a beautiful re-imagining of the main characters embarking on their journey, the opening to Tales of Crestoria‘s main story.”

The Mobile Game

Tales of Crestoria is a new mobile game in the Tales series. It is a turn-based JRPG that conveys an original storyline in the brand-new world of Crestoria. As is expected of a Tales game, the story explores themes that relate to morality and conflict.  The protagonists, Kanata and Misella, are seen as “transgressors by fellow citizens for committing crimes to protect each other.”

It features typical RPG elements such as being able to upgrade your character’s abilities and unlocking new party members. According to Bandai Namco, players will be able to use fan favorites from other Tales games to create the “ultimate Tales dream team”. In addition to the “Main Story” quests, there will be “Side Story” missions that allow the player to discover more about the characters.

Like the other games in the series, “Story Skits” are also a feature. This allows the characters to talk to each other and reveal their inner thoughts as well as additional information about the story.
