Sylvester Stallone replaces the tattoo of his wife’s face with his late dog’s ink on his arm. The star actor has since declared his love for his demised dog and ‘Rocky’ castmate, Butkus. The dog featured in Rocky and its sequel has replaced the face of the 76-year-old actor’s wife on his bicep. The act was not intentional. It was due to an unfortunate incident. Originally, Stallone wanted to refresh the tattoo of his wife, Jennifer Flavin, an American Model. However, the result of the tattoo revamping session was dissatisfying and unfixable.
Sylvester Stallone’s Late Dog Replaces Tattoo of His Wife’s Face
According to Sylvester Stallone’s publicist, Michelle Bega, he didn’t mean to replace his wife’s face tattoo with his late dog. He tried to give his wife’s tattoo a better look, but things went awry, forcing him to think fast to save the situation.
The 1946-born actor had to use the dog’s image as a perfect cover-up for the error.
After pointing out that Sylvester Stallone didn’t mean to replace his wife’s face with Butkus’, Bega pointed out that he loves his family. She also disclosed that the Stallone family is currently filming a reality show together. The show will debut on Paramount+.
The tattoo issue may send a wrong message about Stallone’s marriage. But all is calm in paradise as the couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in May this year. The couple marked the occasion with Instagram tributes to themselves. Flavin also released a photo of the family of four to signify that the family is still waxing strong.
The tattoo that Sylvester Stallone used to replace his wife’s featured a face shot of Butkus, a Bullmastiff. The canine died due to a heart attack on 1981. The star has always declared his love to his late Butkus.
He posted a throwback photo including him and the Bullmastiff on Instagram in 2017. The post is dear to Stallone because it was taken when life wasn’t really smooth for him and Butkus.
