Sword of the Necromancer is an upcoming title from Grimorio of Games. Published by JanduSoft S.L, it is an action RPG with monster summoning. Tama, the hero of the story, must descend into a dungeon full of enemies. And while that sounds difficult, he’s got the power of necromancy at his side. In order to bring his princess Koko back to life, he must wield the power of necromancy. Don’t worry about having to take on enemies solo. In fact, Sword of the Necromancer lets you summon defeated enemies. That’s right. You can bring back the people you take out. Make them do your bidding to attain your goal.

While dying may not feel good, there’s no need to worry. Instead of starting at the beginning, where you die is where you’ll respawn. You won’t have the weapons/armor or monsters you collect, but you’ll be that much closer. As you delve deeper into the dungeon, you can weave together more of the story of Tama and Koko.

Sword of the Necromancer’s New Release Date

Many are looking forward to the game, but the developers have chosen to delay the release by a month. Instead of the projected December release, the game will now be out on January 28, 2021. Developers have stated this will allow them to truly refine the rough edges before it hits the market. They would like the game to be as ideal as possible.

One of the biggest issues hitting all releases is optimization for next-gen. The developers at JanduSoft S.L and Grimorio of Games also stated: “Releasing in January 2021 allows to refine the game… and also avoid the craziness of the next-gen consoles launch window.”
