Sword of the Necromancer Prologue

Currently, the prologue of Sword of the Necromancer is free-to-play via Steam. It includes the beginning levels of the game as well as the first boss. The prologue will introduce players to the story, the game mechanics, and how necromancy works during combat.

Story & Features

In this unique dungeon crawler, you are given the ability to revive defeated enemies and make them fight for your cause. It features RPG elements such as leveling up and equipping new weapons as you progress through the game. As mentioned before, Sword of the Necromancer is a roguelike. This means that when you die, you will lose all your equipped weapons along with your army of revived allies. However, it does have a forgiving side. Upon death, you will retain part of the level you achieved in your last run, meaning each try will get you closer to your end goal. If you want to crawl through the dungeons with a companion, you can play with a friend via local co-op too. There are also IR codes that can be scanned to make the game easier.

In the game, you play as Tama, a rogue who braves the depths of the dungeon to bring her priestess Koko back from the dead. As you progress, you will begin to learn more about Tama and Koko’s past.

Sword of the Necromancer is inspired by games like Enter the Gungeon, Azure Dreams, and the all-time great The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
