Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch, Bandai Namco revealed today. This extended version of the game includes the full Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet main storyline, as well as three DLC content packs, the Dissonance of Fate expansion and bonus in-game items.

Together with the announcement, Namco also released the following trailer showcasing the game’s multiplayer features, storyline snippets, and character’s customization.

Created with Unreal Engine 4, SAO: Fatal Bullet is a third-person action-RPG that merges the battles of a third-person shooter (TPS) with the story and progression of an RPG in what Nintendo called the “first-ever ‘TPSRPG’ from Sword Art Online”.

Players will be able to create their own character, master several types of weapons and skills based on the universe of Gun Gale Online, and choose from over 30 fan-favorite SAO characters in online PVP, including Alice and Eugeo from Sword Art Online: Alicization, and Eiji and Yuna from Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale.

In perfect SAO style, gamers will have the option to team up with three other players in online co-op to use each character’s skills to complete boss battle quests.

The game also includes a competitive battle mode, where two teams of four players will have to compete to accrue more damage points to a boss while at the same time preventing the other team from scoring points.

Fans have welcomed the news on Twitter, starting to showcase their customized characters and praising the Nintendo version of the game.

I used Fatal Bullet because it has the colours I imagined, and also tails. They both have tails (screenshot 3.) pic.twitter.com/JpyDDg1iej

However, other Twitter users have criticized that the game is coming on Switch more than a year after it landed on other consoles.

Crossing my fingers that the SAO Fatal Bullet Switch port is good because I do think it looks like a solid game.

I’m just not spending $60 on it because that game’s a year and a half old now. Gimme a discount on that shit.
