Developer Camel 101 and publisher WhisperGames are bringing their atmospheric horror game Syndrome to the Nintendo crowd. With official publishing by RedDeerGames, Syndrome will be the next mature title to appear on the Nintendo Switch. The title’s announcement also comes with a new announcement trailer that showcases just about everything you’d expect from Syndrome gameplay.

Hide For Your Life in Syndrome

Syndrome is a first-person survival horror experience that sees the player deserted on a lost starship. Something greatly amiss has happened: your crew has run into trouble and strange creatures lurk about the premises. You’re all on your own, so you’ll need to use your wits and agility if you want to get out alive. The gameplay is similar to Alien: Isolation‘s presentation of claustrophobic horror, with vicious enemies crawling around corners at any given moment. Weapons are obviously useful, but they can only get you so far until the enemies strike you down.

Run or your hide for your life is the name of the game in Syndrome. In the announcement trailer, players are introduced to the world of Syndrome, where a lone spaceman is lost aboard the Valkenburg ship. We mostly get to hear his distressing dialogue as he navigates the ship while coming face-to-face with aliens. There are also some survival mechanics that involve more environmental interaction. But after being shrouded in mystery, maybe our lone survivor might have some help after all as the trailer comes to a close.
