Yuoni is a narrative-driven survival horror game from the minds of Tricore Inc. Drawing inspiration from Japanese horror, the title is sure to frighten. But you must steel your resolve and sharpen your memory. Because, without doing so, you may not survive.

Features of the Survival Horror Game Yuoni

The narrative-driven story of Yuoni is not for the easily frightened and, in this title, don’t expect to find any traditional weapons for aid. Here are some of the features of your next attempt to survive:

  • A Permanent Sunset – Take on the role of Ali in a 1990s setting in a Japanese school. The sun never sets here, and otherworldly horrors strive to come into the world. You have three choices as they begin to materialize: run, hide, or die.
  • Evolving Gameplay – Play a twisted game of hide and seek with the horrors that exist. Gather items to aid in your escape, and be sure to remember your paths. Forgetting anything in Yuoni may seal your fate.
  • Haunting Japanese Locations – For some reason, there are connections between a Japanese home, schoolhouse, and a hospital. Explore past the paper walls of the house, and journey through a permanently de-powered hospital.
  • Hide or Die – With no defensive capabilities to speak of, Ali must use her wits. Defeat the enemies by taking advantage of particular weaknesses. Hold your breath as you sneak past blind spirits, or run past those that cannot hear. Measure your actions carefully, or suffer unimaginable horror if you don’t escape in time.

The Yuoni survival horror game was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam last month. This month it was released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
