DreadOut 2 Releases in July for Xbox and PlayStation

DreadOut 2 is a third-person horror adventure based on Indonesian mythology and urban legends. In this horror story, you play Linda Meilinda, a high school girl with the capacity to feel and see ghosts. Linda must use her trusty smartphone to track down the terrible spirits and evil forces that threaten not only her community but all of humanity.

The new survival horror game gives an exciting and horrifying perspective to the horror genre, expanding on the cult hit original with all-new melee combat and a stronger focus on exploration. The character has many adolescent problems and faces dangerous creatures from Asian folklore. We fight primarily using a smartphone with a camera.

DreadOut 2 will be released on July 15th for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and on July 20th for PS4 and PS5. DreadOut 2, the first console game from an Indonesian indie company, encourages you to hunt ghosts and investigate horrific urban stories. On PC, the game had modest success.

The horror title mainly received positive reviews, and players typically enjoy the gameplay and the main character. The indie game has 1,252 ratings, with 74% favorable on Steam. However, the high level of difficulty and technical flaws are criticized. In addition, the graphics are not enough by today’s game standards. Nevertheless, the story and narrative style make up for these failures.
