Nintendo has released a surprise Nintendo Direct Micro which shows off a few games and other items that will be coming to 3DS and Wii U in the coming months. This Nintendo Direct is a bit shorter and more to the point than previous outings, hence the “Micro” addition to the title. It is essentially an American version of the Japanese Nintendo Direct that was shown a couple of days ago. Gamers can get a look at the upcoming Chibi-Robo game, some Splatoon DLC, and other previously unannounced titles, along with a bit of Amiibo news, such as the new Chibi-Robo Amiibo that will hit alongside the game.

Nintendo also goes into their E3 plans, including the Nintendo World Championships. Games from 2015, and early 2016 will be shown off at the convention. The Nintendo World Championships will take place the weekend before, with fans being brought in from around the US to compete for the top prize. Apparently there will also be a surprise game at the contest, with hints pointing toward The Legend of Zelda, whether the already announced Wii U version, or a previously unknown 3DS game.

We’ll be at the show covering all the E3 news, so keep checking AOTF for all the updates and games you care about when E3 2015 starts on June 14th.
