A new update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be coming this week.
The Nintendo Versus Twitter account is the official source for Nintendo fans to find the latest news on Nintendo’s competitive scene. They broke the news that version 3.1.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be coming this week on their Twitter account.
The tweet doesn’t specify what 3.1.0 will do to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate other than readjusting several fighters in the game. We assume the developers are continuing to balance the game, and several characters in the game’s roster will probably receive some buffs or nerfs. However, Nintendo Versus doesn’t reveal which characters will be a change in 3.1.0.
Ver 3.1.0 of Super #SmashBrosUltimate is coming this week! This update will include fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating. pic.twitter.com/3IUqibNCD3

Nintendo Versus also doesn’t reveal what day the update will happen. They simply tweeted out that the update will be arriving this week. Their tweet also reminds gamers that replay data will no longer be compatible with the future update. If players want to keep their replay data, they need to convert their data into a video. The Nintendo Versus goes into detail on how players can achieve that.
We expect more news on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will come in Nintendo’s E3 conference. Check out our DLC hopes for Ultimate.
