Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going to have its next fighting game tournament this Friday, and interestingly, Nintendo has announced that only new players will be allowed to participate in the event. So all the players who were a part of the previous games in the Super Smash Bros franchise will not be able to join the tournament starting from October 29. The special event will last for three days and it will allow newbies in the game to redeem spirits, earn some exciting rewards, and improve their skills.

The highlight of this fighting game tournament will be fighters such as Sora from the iconic Kingdom Hearts series, Piranha Plant from Super Mario, and Kazuya from Tekken. The event will also feature characters like Richter, Joker, Byreth, Min Min, Mythra, King K, and many others. These newly introduced characters from different Nintendo games will lead to some new and exciting crossovers in the roster. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the fifth installment in Super Smash Bros game series and the development team has already announced that the upcoming fighting event will mark the end of the Ultimate roster.

Last week Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also received its Update 13.0.0 that allowed players to gain new abilities, costumes, and weapons for characters like Zelda, Dr. Mario, Sora, Jigglypuff, and others. The Super Smash Bros spirit board also witnessed the addition of the new spirit Razewing Ratha with the update. Though not every update and tournament is guaranteed to become popular among fans of the Super Smash Bros. series, the continuous efforts made by game developers to make the crossovers more in alignment with the fan requests seem to be working. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is considered one of the most popular crossover fighting games on Nintendo, so far about 25 million copies of the game are sold and it stands as the best-selling fighting game of all time.
