It’s really looking like the ultimate Smash Bros. game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is certainly living up to its name. Today’s Nintendo Direct presentation already wowed audiences with its roster additions, including Castlevania’s Simon and Richter Belmont, as well as Dark Samus and Chrom. Things continued with announcements about stages, the other big part of the series. Ultimate will once again impress here, featuring the most stages in the franchise by far. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will feature 103 stages with many variants on each.

As series creator Masahiro Sakurai said, taking out the three standardized stages, you are still left with 100 unique maps. Each of these can be morphed in a few ways, with Sakurai saying there’s really more than 300 stages to choose from. And in a new move, stages can even morph around characters as you play a match.

New Donk City looks like a particularly cool new stage. Players can unlock the musicians from the game to queue the now iconic song from Super Mario Odyssey. More new stages were shown, so check out the presentation to see them all.

Many of the 103 included stages will be new, but there’s also a large selection of returning favorites. For the N64 maps, players can get the ultimate nostalgia hit with their classic styling that emphasizes the original graphics.
