In a post on Nintendo’s Miiverse, Zelda series director Eiji Aonuma has revealed some behind-the-scenes details on the development of the recently announced The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. The game is a 3DS specific remake of the N64 classic, much like its predecessor The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was. And according to the post the two weren’t far apart in development. Aonuma wrote “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D was actually in development almost immediately after we finished working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was released in June of 2011....

The Legend of Zelda Wii U could potentially be the largest game of the series as Nintendo is thinking “big”. The Legend of Zelda Wii U’s producer, Eiji Aonuma, explained more about the game during an interview with Gamereactor Magazine. He mentioned with all Zelda games, they tried to make “a large world” as can be with the hardware that they had been given.
